Why's it gotta be a maze? One of the main complaints is backtracking in a dungeon. How much backtracking you think there's gonna be in a maze? Just make it 'floors' and have each floor send waves of enemies.

i did mean floors, going down deeper and deeper

but every floor is a maze

Given what the in-game situation is, any idea will save D4, this one is a good idea.

Anything is better than the current system.

you mean the overtuned boss fight that drops no loot? lol

are you atleast willing to admit that the expectations of boss mechanics where slightly different back then to what they are today?

relative to the time at which they were released, d2 everything > d4, not just boss fights...

Tbh diablo 3 greater rifts were pretty fun in actuality.

Mostly a mindless enemy killing area (many with great density) where you didn’t have to backtrack in a map or do side quests, just kill shit, and all the loot dropped at the end so you didn’t have to mess with inventory management throughout.

Yes Nm dungeons have made me a bit nostalgic for GRs.

No thank you to maxes I gotta spend time backtracking in though.
