PoE started from scratch though. And the game improved tremendously because they listen to the playerbase.

Playing isn't a prerequisite to understanding game systems and mechanics. Especially if a game is of a similar nature to it's predecessor.

It's like saying a wow player wouldn't understand a wow expansion after watching a twitch stream of it. Maybe, if the expansion was a total revamp of the game. That's not the case at all when the majority of ideas are simply copy/pasted from the prior title.

This season is honestly just really PTR. Wish they actually hired some game testers.
As for the eternal server I did get 3x level 100 and my name on the Lilith statue.

Yeah I was curious why there wasn’t a ptr. Idk if they’re trying to be super secretive or what but sure seems like it would be beneficial.
