It’s the opposite. The game is tailored to the people who grind it out for 8+ hours every day, the 1.1 patch shows us that
No, the newest patch doesn't show that, or any of the above.
The new patch shows that the people at blizzard realized they had the same problem as the people who made d3 on release. That is, the content they thought would take you forever, didn't actually take you forever. New content is expensive to make and takes time. D3 on launch was supposed to take players months just to beat act 2 torment, because you needed to get gear from act 4 to do it. This game has a similar problem, and hence the patch. The most stupid thing(management wise) they did was increase the xp at one point a few weeks ago because it let every single person, including the dads who play 2 hours a week to hit 100 much sooner where they would soon realize there wasn't much point in playing beyond hitting 100.
So, in order to stretch out the game that doesn't have any content coming its way and keep you playing and new people buying it(they CARE WAY MORE ABOUT THIS and keeping these people playing, they already got your money, and these noobs will just think the season 1 patch is just the default), they NERFED everything, including the time to travel between dungeons, and at one point had some d4 representative(dev) tell you its ok you can go play something else prior to its release.
Without a good replayability loop, these ARPGS are never worth more than $20, since the game itself is so short and lacks a whole lot of depth beside that. You're not paying for good storytelling, immersion, etc. You're experiencing that fact right now, despite, well, it being obvious before the game released that it would probably suck because the items(main source of replayability loop) suck. And no, when they introduce the D3 style sets, it will not fix itemization being bad.
