they basically just nerf u so u can fell stronger again when u get use of those gem. thats not extra content, its actually just extra work u have to perform just to get back to starting point before the patch. for some class, they cant even get back to starting point because of the dog shit armor and resist bullshit. this season like launch just a ptr for the game

and they have killed the hype of alot of ppl aswell as mine
fun aspect is gone
motivation is gone
no QoL features added/fixed nothing the community wanted is adressed - well ok in some seasons later next year maybe they add some more stash tabs and make some core things working like resistance but for now? nah no need fuck this community we just rather nerf everything and take out all the hype and fun things so these idiots stop telling us what they want becouse they will be gone since the game sucks ass now

from a designer's perspective you want to maximize fomo.

as to power creep that's inevitable. there's zero chance they can tailor the dmg changes, eventual level increase, added uniques, added aspects, etc in a way that avoids it. in an AARPG the only way to offset that is give worthwhile increased end game challenges. in d3 they tried to do it with infinitely scaling dungeons, which failed miserably long term.

but in context if hearts are so broken as a design that they BOTH require you to poof them after the season AND nerf all classes then they're too power creepy from the get go. and that is the core issue, not how they MIGHT mix with something 4 years from now. fix them and you fix both.

game was not ready at release and is not ready for seasons to begin. it doesn't matter one iota. they made over a half billion selling beta keys.
