I really think pen shot is going to be THE rogue build this patch. Obviously TB/flurry+RF/etc can still be decent. But with damage reduction and some of the other changes I think you’re going to way to stay away from mobs as much as you can.

Plus I’m probably overthinking this… but I think pen shot could be huge. That new pen shot unique looks really powerful. Cool aspect plus the bow having crit chance is huge. Combine that with the new malignant power that sacrifices normal damage but increases crit damage, throw in the malignant power that deals all 3-imbuements at once and you have a high crit ranged build that’s throwing imbuements all over.

Build will be squishy AF, but it’ll be ranged.

Idk we’ll see how it plays out but looks powerful on paper imo.

Less damage is really bad. It would be a new bucket that would do your ending damage X .85 = super bad

Your crit chance isn't high enough to make it worth it.

correct me if i'm wrong.

Rogues are normally running crit chance around 40%. The new rogue unique bow has a 15% chance to crit (unupgraded). Which is probably like a 22-25% chance to crit after a 5/5 upgrade. So with that new bow you’re conceivably looking at a pen shot rogue running 60%+ crit chance all the time. We also don’t know how the malignant hearts upgrade, other than we do know they upgrade.

The vuln/crit nerfs were big. No argument. BUT if that malignant heart has the ability to upgrade to add somewhere in the neighborhood of 100-120% crit damage (which seems at least very possible) rogues could actually be doing more crit damage than they were prior to the patch, even with the implicit nerf I believe. The vuln nerf is still big, but could that be offset by the malignant adding all 3 imbuements simultaneously? Idk, I guess we’ll see.

Again I think we need to test and see how thing’s actually upgrade, but based on only the 50% of info we have it seems very plausible it’s a powerful glass cannon.

Where did you see a bow with %15 crit chance. What I found was %40 damage to distant.

It’s not the implicit. It’s one of the fixed rolls.

Edit and apparently I can’t read the 15% CC is after a 5/5 upgrade. So not quite as strong as I thought, but still very strong.

Don’t go melee on rogue anymore. No sustain and all defensive stats nerfed means you get bodied as soon as you go into multiple enemies

Keep it and add lucky hit to your build

Ya I just went from 2 points in siphon to 3 and added lucky on my gloves seems fine to me in terms of sustain.
