Old style. Where the friends list worked.
No hacks or bots.
Few subtle changes here and there
4 month seasons
Everyone had to start fresh every ladder
Community of players.
Where could I find such a game

the only hype that it created was bcz of its incredible d4 trailer. best in any arpg i've ever seen, and prob will be for decades.

What is "the hype"? Everyone has his own personal hypemeter.

I am not hyped, but excited. I think D4 will be a good game, but I dont think it will be more than that. So overall I am pretty confident that it will live up to my personal level of hype.

Thats exactly gow I feel about it.

That's the kind of vibe I get. That Diablo 4 will be very hyped, and for a lot of people, they will enjoy the game. But for me, personally, It will feel like and look like diablo 3 with a different skin. And for that, I am not excited about. POE is great, but needs optimization and a lot of work, as in, they absolutely need to figure out how to be more welcoming for new players. They have a problem bringing people in because the game is so darn complex for people who don't understand that game. And tbh, I get it, it's overloading and anxiety inducing for that crowd.
