is bis to increase crit damage or lightning spear damage for this build?

crit will increase dmg from all sources, which makes me believe it is better, but i don't know this my first d4 season

anyone have insights on what is best? don't wanna temper all my ggs and then realize i ran the wrong way lmao

cause right now i feel like frozen orb does a lot of dmg too especially vs bosses. that's all i really am interested in really, i wanna maximize dps vs t8 council, those mfs are too tanky

cdr>crit damage. main damage comes from splintering aspect which scale 1:1 with every % increase in crit damage. t8 hordes is a walk in the park but will struggle single dps at higher pit

Wait the question is for temper tho, im debating between crit dmg and lightning spear dmg, not cdr. Currently all my stuff is crit dmg based

tempering. for weapon chance to x2 spears & crit damage(this is where you want to hit your masterworking)
for ring(spear cd, crit damage)
gloves(spear luck, crit damage)
priority masterworking(cdr>spear cdr>crit damage)

but if you're transitioning from frozen orb sorc then it should be smooth as you get to keep shako, tyrael, tal ring and winterglass(slight different on masterworking, frozen orb build want x3 on conj mastery, spears wants x3 on cdr affix)

Yea thats exactly what i did. Transitioned and x3 on cdr. Cool glad im not that oblivous ahaha. So far its been killin stuff real nice. Just wish i can kill the t8 council a bit faster on 3p.

U know if 3ga gloves are an upgrade to fists? Really trying to maximize my dmg rn

i don't like fof. you lose out to much crit damage in exchange for lucky hit. damage wise no that's a loss

I see. Doesnt the 100% lh proc frozen orbs on winterglass tho? Or is that not a big deal breaker. I thought it would be necessary for optimized cdr

yes. the lucky hit is nice and all but you'll lose 1 aspect(x 0.3 multiplier) as well as 75% ga critdamage and crit damage tempering. i'm not too sure what's the max roll on crit tempering at 12/12 but you're looking at least -200% splintering damage and also losing that .3 multiplier from stormwell. but if you're only running hordes then that does not matter. things will melt instantly anyway. all this calculations are only worth to look into if you're planning to push high pits
