My hardcore char just died. I grinded lvl 31 nightmares and found a Tempest Roar, put it in my stash and told myself to grind some renown for Paragon Points.
Smart me went to champions of demise, pulled many goats and casted a pulverize in NORMAL DUNGEON -> game crashed immediatly, couldn't even cast scroll of escape.
At that point I was smiling knowing what has happend.
Logged in, couldn't load any of my characters -> game crashed again.
Now my heart was racing hoping I can enter the game fast enough. Recieved message that my character died.

Well okay, just make a new Druid I saved my TR in my stash.

Made new Druid, hit "m".
-> Waypoints gone
-> Side Quests gone
-> Strongholds gone
-> Side Dungeons gone
EVEN THE LITTLE QUESTLINE FOR MALIGNANT ROCKS GONE

And my motivation is also gone.
Enjoying summer now, grinding to lvl 74 to wear my tempest roar seems fine to me. But doing that stuff again... it's not like in D2 just make a new char and play at lvl 80 and have fun.
Who thinks twinking is fun? In my case this aint twinking because well thats my only option but even in softcore I wouldnt make twinks lol.
I'd rather do 500 baal runs than another side quest

RIP. totally agree the current renown system is v annoying for hc players. the majority of activities to gain renown are no fun at all and you keep riding ur horse here and there on your own.
i learned to grind the renown to reach paragon rewards on each zone before going to another zone from pre-season, kinda save to trouble of doin all from zero when RIP. but its still boring af.
And its so difficult to find anybody with similar progress that can coop to have fun. Yes its more boring than Baal runs.

Definitely need to change this renown thing totally. any good suggestions on how to change it?

We can start by getting rid of it completely. They only care about selling you more product so I doubt it'll change, you can afk in shop and not get kicked from server. Lol

Apperently I misunderstood the renown system.

Seems like my druid has all paragon points from the renown my last druid got.

I didn't see that paragon points are for all characters in the UI. Guess you only have to grind full renown once.

sad but blizzard is pure garbage
i know that when u dc or crash u are ingame for atleast 2 more minutes
that is just unacceptable but it is what it is

500 baal runs vs 1 side quest

500 baal runs gonna take 1500 minutes at least. 1 side quest takes like 5 minutes

my batteries on my controller died while in HC. I was getting stomped and my usb cord that is usually ready to go for these situations wasn't plugged in. So I just turned my xbox off. Came back not dead. Seems like it doesn't leave you in the game on console.
