...was there ever an diablolike ARPG without those issues?

What I respect is the Devs self reflection. They know that the latest patch sucked ass, they know their game has room for significant improvement (again, like ALL other ARPGs had in their first year(s) as well - without exception).

They openly say "we fucked up", they stand their ground at a live gathering and try to explain why they did what they did and also admitted without hesitation that they failed to achieve what they wanted and that they will fix it.

I personally respect that a lot, admitting failure isnt easy.
The transpareny those guys showed us through the whole development process and still now after launch is remarkable for such a big company.

I think they'll make D4 great in a comparably short amount of time.

I believe that they will make the inevitable expansion pretty great.
But the current spaghetti code based game seems pretty dead in the waters.

The last patch made the game harder. Harder = better. I played D4 all the way through in HC without a single death WT4 etc.

I played D2 long enough I don't want any more piss easy game.

At least its harder than D2, but fuck thats not a great measure.

There is a distinction between making you weak and making the game difficult. There are plenty of ways to make a game challenging without tanking the player’s dps

Twitch, youtube and everything else has another opinion.

Oh it is definitely my heart talking here - as well as my mind. By the way I dont think D4 isnt good or anything. It is good, but its pretty rough around the edges. Nothing unfixable.

The most important thing is that the combat is great. Thats the most important foundation.

Right now in its current state D4 is a 7/10 for me and I think thats the best I ever rated an ARPG shortly after release except for D1, which was a 10/10 for me when it came out.
Every other ARPG since then, including D2 and PoE, was an absolute mess at launch.

Game is d3 2.0, won't last much anyways

So when I tell you why its obviously not dead, you come up with the next theory. I see.
