As much as I use d2jsp to trade in various games (from D2, WoW, to DDO, rift, MTGO, to many more), and that I believe d2jsp should be allowed until they implement a better trade system,
I can understand GGG's concern and stand against us D2JSPers, or the use of D2JSP, as forum gold here is actually purchasable with real money (although I doubt if many would have done so)
They have stated repeatedly that they do not want PoE to be pay to win like D3(because you can pay $10000000 dollars to be "uber").
When they develop PoE, they had in mind that PoE should be rid of all these D3 features.(easy game play/ RMAH / dull skill system etc)
What those that is against the usage of D2JSP fail to comply is that most d2jspers are not involved with real money trade. Even if a very minor minority of the users do, they make a relatively small impact to the game.
The debate is 2 sided and it's hard to come up with an absolute conclusion. I believe GGG is monitoring us JUST IN CASE it gets out of hand, which I doubt if it would.
(if people will purchase fg with real money to buy PoE items etc)
I'd just suggest everyone to NOT mention your in game name in public, just in case.
When you trade in game, mention your d2jsp handle but not "d2jsp".
Almost every game is pay to win.
At least RPG games, sicne there will always be a chinese website who will sell u currency. That is hopeless to make a game that is not pay to win. However, they may not sponsor it just like diablo did, which i think is smarter.
BUT, it's stupid to ban on jsp use.
