where did i mention perfect? he said the trade system is non-existent which is false. if you cant find each other in towns, just go right outside town and drop a portal for the other user to join you.
The problem is trade chat does not allow you to interact with majority of players online. You are probably showing only 2~5% most of the population online by posting your item once in trade chat.
In order to counter such problem, you have to join public groups (just to be able to see other instances), join THEM, post your item once in EACH instance, join other public groups, and then rinse and repeat.
Meanwhile you have to pay close attention to player names of the instances you join so you don't double/triple spam in the trade chat.
It's very inconvenient. Meanwhile, people very seldom use the trade forum.
It's not just "not perfect". It's ultimately flawed -- to be exaggerating a bit, it's a non existence.
Being able to show your item to 2% of the population online (if you dun understand why or how this happens, you should learn more about the trade chat system before giving opinion) is not "existent".
EDIT : I re-read Chris' post. His post clearly states that they are against any advertisement of the use of any external trade. But as long as you do not mention it, I dun see how you will get banned.
Just do not ask for FG in their forum / trade chat. Do not mention jsp / d2jsp anyway in game.
JSP'ers are gonna use jsp anyways, but they want to prevent d2jsp from becoming too big and too much to handle before it gets out of hand. (because fg, at the end of day, is still purchasable with real money).
