I played on release and was majorly disappointed but probably my own fault. I was hoping for some sort of nostalgia from the good old SWG days but of course this was entirely different. Thinking I may reinstall and give it another go, nothing to lose really. Just wondering if anyone can comment on how the game has changed since release, if at all?

The new expansion is great, I love the game.
It's only going to get more popular when the new movies come out too.

Game is better than ever. I just returned myself after a long period away.

Its changed a lot since release. The F2P model is rough BUT its doable if you just wanna try it out and see how you like it. I warn you though as F2P it's REALLY slow...

Storylines are and have always been pretty epic, they continue for sure. PVP has improved drastically, however the 30-59 bracket gets wrecked by high levels.

Can't wait to see that popuparity jump once Episode VII comes out

I'm a hardcore pvper, and the current state of the game is pretty crap to be honest. It's very clear that they are only interested in making money off of the cartel market (cosmetic / easymode leveling consumables etc), and less concerned about having a well balanced, competitive end game. Catering to casuals basically. If you are a casual player, then by all means, it's a great game. If you want competitive ranked pvp? Look to WoW or a MOBA like Dota or LOL.

One thing to note, in my opinion, is that SWTOR is still in it's early stage consider the profit EA and BioWare have been making for the last couple of years. It's potential has yet been exploited to it's fully degree. Think about all the possible ways this game could take and that is without taking Episode VII under consideration. This game is still relatively unknown to most people and it's main audience/consumers are the Star Wars both hardcore and softcore fans. I do agree and hope as the majority of our community, that the upcoming Episode VII will open the eyes for more people to this underrated wonderful game!
