I quit for college and I'll be coming back shortly after exams.

I heard patch 1.2 dropped a week ago or so. What's your opinion on it? I read some of the patch notes. Some seem good, but a lot of stuff didn't make me really want to come back to the game.
Any ways, what are the ups and downs? Any big class buffs or nerfs?

Big nerfs to Sorc Healing, which upset alot of people as they were immensely op - so dominated the raid scene. Almost a 40% nerf and STILL are at the top of HPS charts.

Some buffs, but alot of nerfs - which upset people.

Global nerf to Healing in PvP

Some cool toys- some broken toys. Ect ect.

A lot of people are QQ'n that they hate the patch and it ruined teh game, but honestly... I don't mind the changes... I can't speak on behalf of PVE as I am more PVP focused but I find the healing is still strong, not OP and not UP (under powered). The only thing that really discouraged me was that ranked warzones didn't hit... thus 4 is still cap for queue size pvp'n... that groups still need to be reformed after wzs they don't remain in tact (nuisance more than anything). Other than that you have your situational stuff buts its expected... I'm fairly satisfied at least... not satisfied to the point where I won't be jumping ship on May 15th tho...

A lot of my gripes are with the PvP reward system, which they have already said they are going to fix in the new patch on Thursday. I am on a server where Imperials outnumber Republic 2:1, so they already dominated and already had a vast gain on us republic players in the gear battle. That being said, I still get my wins when I do premades with friends, but I think the diminishing returns, and some times no returns for losing is a huge bummer. But as I said before, they plan on fixing that.

Aside from that, was hoping for rated pvp already, really want to do 8 man ops. Balance still feels overwhelmingly in the imps favor, Sorc still seem to out-DPS sages, and marauders now do AoE crits on me for 4.5-6k+ damage with full BM heavy armor; so I'm really hoping they realize they need to change it.

I'm not happy, but I do like the new content, the new raid is fun and there are opportunities to grow, just really wish they put more thought into their class balancing. Maybe it's their better gear on imp side of my server, but they still hit like trucks compared to us republic players.

Its a huge patch that not only added new content, but it also fixed a ton of QoL issues in the game. There have been a few new bugs that have popped up because of it, but nothing game breaking. Overall its a great patch.

Which class is the most buffed at the moment? I just finished leveling a JK a few months ago and the dps was so slow. Was looking for more dps output. I've heard marauders are the best for single target and mercenaries for AoE. Anyone agree/disagree?

Marauders are hands down the best melee dps. Lightning spam Sorcerors are still massive damage, as well as pyro powertechs. For republic side, best dps right now are Sentinels and Sages, but imps are superior in dps.

Powertech If you want insane single target burst, PT in my guild has highest dps atm.

Tanksin if you want an extremely good overall character for pvp.

the guild bank was launched and so was the legacy system. the legacy system (so far) is only useful for universal buffs across all characters in the legacy. everything else in the legacy system is purely a credit sync. reducing the cd of the emergency fleet pass by 1 hour costs a million credits and then basically doubles in cost every hour after that. also things like having a repair droid on your ship, mail box on your ship, and your ship droid can now be geared with items that make it useful for gathering crafting materials. all of the "useful" features of the legacy system are coming out in 1.3 (more exp gains, more credit gains, more affection gains when gifting, etc)

the guild bank is yet another credit sync. each tab in the guild bank is atleast a million credits. my guild has put in over 15 million credits into the guild bank for all the tabs and guild repair funds.

feel like my Operative healer is a good class now since they were buffed and all other healers nerfed
