what does it mean that the patcher is unavailable tryed restarting the computer turning off the modem nothing worked still cant log into game

try deleting the patcher.version file in your swtor directory
then try to log in again

Sometimes, when so many incorrect password attempts are made on an account, the patcher service denies usage; but it incorrectly says that "patcher is unavailable."

In this case, log on the website. Reset the password. Then this should help your problem, if its the above issue that is causing the issue.

sometimes login servers are offline for 1-5 mins.
then you cant patch etc.
