Alright so a bit about what I like I guess to see if someone out there likes swtor and has similar tastes.

Played WoW for a bit but I quit after a year in a half.
Played DCUO for a few months but the lack of fixes such as animation canceling just ruined the pvp scene for me.
Swore off all MMO's after that.

Liked Fallout3
Liked the witcher(only played the first)
Liked most of the stalker series.
Skyrim was ok but got old fast.(Never even finished the game)

Not really relevant some of the games but just thought I'd mention em... ya never know.

I'm looking for something I can jump into at a slow pace to enjoy the story and the content with hopes of having a nice pvp scene after. I'm more of a 1vs1 dueler guy but enjoy arena/bg or whatever they call em from time to time. Is there a dueling community in swtor? Like an area people meet up in the open world to have 1vs1 duels while others watch? can you chat to each other even if im republic and your sith?

I haven't really followed the dev or looked into the details of the game but figured I'd ask here.

no they dont have an arena still 1 on 1 would love to see these done tho,

they have 3 different battle grounds attack defend, control over turrets and a football style one called huttball
they also have world pvp as well in a few different planets as well

But in all seriousness, SW:TOR is awesome. Come Shadowtown server if you do end up getting it Population has increased fairly well over the past few days.

Cool what about chatting ingame? like in DCUO we had a versus chat so heros could talk to villains, we had a pretty awesome dueling community and that chat made all the difference.

So can the republic guys talk to the sith guys in a chat?

Shadowtown whats the pop for each faction like? I always like being the underdog. Still debating on getting it though but to be honest I'll prob get it even if I just play for 1 month I'm so bored lately.

you can really jump into this and level at any pace you want the story lines for every class are the best in any mmo ive ever seen, the pvp during lvling and after is decent depends who you talk to have to experience that yourself, watch some vids chekc itout, there is world pvp and at 50 a pvp area you can do dailys and fight opposite faction, you can duel ppl anywhere not on the fleet but theres no place really like there was in wow like outside of org ppl always dueling, maybe one of these days they'll implement a place for it, looks promising for the future imo

Shadowtown is actually populated by more Republic than Empire as far as I know. And I've noticed this while leveling too.. I like the challenge as well. I am Empire

yes you can communicate with the opposite faction with /say

the 1-60 playthrough is 100% worth the purchase imo, but in it's current state i don't think you'll be a recurring subscriber if your looking forward to endgame pvp (in its current state)


if you enjoy being the underdog, go republic, i wish i had, didn't realize everyone would be so horny for empire -.-


pc specs? i wouldnt recommend trying to run the game on anything older than a phenom 2 or i3 or anything other than a 1GB+ ddr5 gfx card

nn i3.. this game is easy on processor.
