Ok so anyone else feel like 1:50 Ratio is like off by a loooooong shot?

Seems to me everyone is basing the ratio off of WoW Gold but the two Currency's are not even comparable... Has anyone here ever made 100k gold in WoW in a single afternoon of questing at lvl 35?

I mean it costs me 18k just to repair my gear after a Heroic.. Should i really be paying 360fg to repair my gear????

Even at 1:500 I would still be paying 36fg just to repair my gear!

This ratio is ridiculous Ive seen people go from 100k to 500k in 3 days! 3 days of playing SWTOR is worth 10,000 Fg? So wrong..

Odd, the most I have ever had to pay to repair gear is 6k Credits. That is after it is all broken. Most of my gear is modded with the purple mods in them. So idk. I was going to say that it may have something to do with the actually item quality, but unless you have AMAZINGLY AMAZING gear I don't see why it costs so much.

Another side to this is that I have been looking for 200k credits on my server since the start while offering a 1:50 ratio and no one has taken it up. If it goes even to 1:100 I doubt anyone would even bother let alone 1:500.

creds are not worth a 1:50 ratio at all.


what you are facing is the fact no one plays on your server... or is unwilling to sell their creds, the game is still really new...

Im sure @ 1:500, which it is easily going to be, their will be plenty of people selling credits. Some people are making 200k + a day as we speak.. You can make 10k + for each PvP game you play. At a 1:500 ratio im paying you 20fg to play a round of Huttball.. Currently im paying you 200fg to do that? Sound fair to anyone else?

Also that repair only had 2 fully broken items the rest were just almost broken. And I dont know if it matters but all my gear has all purple mods and its light armor so possibly that could affect the cost?

I can agree that the game is pretty new and that is most likely the issue. However I find fg to in game currency ratios completely "different" shall we say.

Personally I feel Creds are worth the 1:50 ratio I am offering because 200k would lend a great hand in my crafting. But if I was making 10k+ a PvP match it wouldn't matter that much to me. I haven't been able to get my earning over 4k so idk if I am doing something wrong or what. Maybe after the first expansion things will settle down for the ratios.

I COMPLETELY agree with you.. Spent 215 fg on credits yesterday and after running hammer station and dying several times, all those credits were spent up.. and really.. 215 FORUM GOLD?!!? GONE IN LESS THAN AN HOUR!?!?!

I could understand 1:150ish for right now, but 1:50 is just unbelievable.. hopefully as the game ages it will even out

1. farm credit
2. save fg
3. profit???

The 1:50 ratio is fine for new players, who can use the extra credits. And since it is a new game, there's alot of new players..

Makes sense, ratio will change with time, for sure.
