My friend is playing a Jedi Guardian and is going tank spec. He is having trouble leveling lately (around ~30ish and about to go to Balmora). He dies a lot and is struggling with quests that I think he should be able to do. For example he has had to have help on 2 class quests. He is new to MMOs so my question is ... is it really that hard to level as a Jedi Knight tank spec'd or should I be looking at his rotation?

I am playing Sage and have never had an issue with leveling in this game. I think this is the easiest MMO (leveling wise) I have ever played.

You should really look up his rotation! He's probably not using his skills proprely.
I mean, tanks should never die from questing. Should probably tell him to read his skills
And to use the right type of armor

Also make sure he is using his dps companion. I have a tank as well, and as long as i use her I just tank and live forever while she kills everything.

yeah being tank you shouldn't be dieing to mobs from a single player quest.
check his rotation and make sure he is gearing properly. also if he still has trouble make sure he fully heals betweens groups and that he is using cd's if needed.
