I've been playing all week and this occurred yesterday. I made a jedi for fun, and my computer kept shutting off. So, I went back to my empire characters and everything was fine. Now, today it keeps happening again on any character.

The screen turns black, the sound cuts off, and then the computer shut off.

This same problem happened to me with Skyrim as well, but no other computer games.

sounds like it is probably overheating or something, and just a coincidence that it happened righ when it did.

It is most likely, not overheating. I don't think it's that simple. This never happened when playing wow for an entire day. I also, when playing skyrim, put an eight inch fan in back of my computer.

if it were overheating it would flash an error screen when booting.

so if it hasn't it isn't.

there may be a fatal error with the game conflicting with your hardware or just the game itself is broke.

does it happen with any other game, those that are more demanding? If not it is likely the games fault.

I know my pc should blow the game out of the water, easy 60 fps on max, but I dont get near that.

game is still very rough around the edges, it needs time and hopefully EA can commit to making the game better.

crysis 1/2 and bf3 all max 45+ fps, swtor max 45 fps.
