I can't really speak for it all because I've only played 1 game but the only one I played, a guy who had almost no kills and quite a few deaths, but hundreds of thousands of healing won almost every MVP. He only had like 2 medals.
sometimes that happens. Im a heal spec sith sorc, and have had hundreds of thousands of healing done. Even had people in chat say "holy shit nobody's dying, healing is amazing" and only get 1 MVP.
ive won a few MVP's, but thats not really what im getting it, its the playstyle its causing in BG's.
Rather then have quick, objective based game (when i play with my guild, games end in around 5 mins (huttball/ 10mins point control map), unless its the gate defense and we're defending first, then its like a 20 min game. Then i get in and out of games faster, for more XP, and still a good amount of valor/commendations since we win/lose quickly.

I only played one and it was Huttball. The two healers won the most medals in there too
Edit: I hate Huttball
Huttball is my fav, because of two reasons.
#1 if you queue with people, and are cordinated, games are so fast.
#2 if u queue solo, its the one BG that u have the best chance of carrying ur entire team on, since a smart sneaky player can cap balls on his own while his dumbass team runs around PvPing.
