I was pretty dissapointed with the gameplay video's i've been watching, the graphics in particular

All of the gameplay videos so far has been shown in low quality settings in-game so far (not talking about video quality), so it's a bit difficult to give it a fair review unless you dislike the art and the fact that it's beeing a bit "cartoony". However the graphics makes it possible to reach a larger customer base which is what they really want... and if you compare it to WoW (not saying that those graphics were that great but still most people accepted them for what they were) then they're a lot better and way more detailed.

When it comes to gameplay you can't really judge the game yet since most of the gameplay BioWare has shown us has been static encounters where they stand still and show off the animations of the abilities, which is so very frustrating because I want to see actually "high-skilled" gameplay, and I don't understand how hard it can be to invite a couple of good PvPers from other MMOs and let them play a bit in beta while recording it.

Anyway I've actually seen one video with a skilled* bounty hunter (*skilled in comparison to all other swtor videos out there... he wasn't clicking a single time, moved pretty well, no keyboard turning, good use of map, etc). You'll be surprised how many gameplay videos that are out there featuring complete noobs. Anyway after seeing that video I felt pretty confident about the pace of PvP in the game. Unfortunately it was a beta leak and the video was only up for 10-15 hours on YouTube before it was removed. Haven't seen it anywhere since.

New Site Addition Allowing us to "Explore the Galaxy"

In essence it provides a way for us to learn about the different places.

I agree with this completely.

You make some good points here :)

I sat and watched some of the E3 gameplay videos with some big WoW player friends of mine and they completey shot the game to shit, which I think is what altered my perspective of it.

And I understand they want to appeal to a larger player-base, but it is difficult for me (and i'm sure other people, who aren't star wars fanatics but simply want a change from WoW) to engage with the sci-fi theme of graphic design that is less "beautiful" but more futuristic.

Hopefully the skill effects look nicer at a higher level as well

Wish I could play this, don't have a computer that could run it. Definitely pickin' it up once I have a system that will run it. Been waiting for this & Warhammer 40k Dark Millenium for awhile now.

Yes it does completely change your view when you watch good players play for a change.

In my opinion I find these graphics more beautiful than WoW, at least the environment, I don't know if you've seen some of the screenshots of the big cities in sw:tor but god damn they are beautiful. The characters however I can agree is a bit so-so... I like the movement animations in WoW much more (but perhaps it's just a question of getting used to it), but the details in the items are once again, much better in sw:tor.

There is an official video of the beginning of one of the end-lvl raids in sw:tor on YouTube and their website. I really enjoyed the animations of the Bounty Hunter's rockets.

Here is the 10 min developer walkthrough: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikotE7rq4Jo

Here is the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdgVap9yQig

In the end of the 10 min walkthrough you'll see some sneak peaks of some of the encounters later in the operation (raid) and they look pretty damn awesome.

Not sure if GrimsBlood already posted these links in the original post, but can't hurt to post 'em once more.

There's plenty if you look on YouTube.

Some of the things you could search for is:

- swtor taral v developer wakthrough (mid-lvl instance)
- swtor eternity vault developer walkthrough (end-game raid)
- swtor hutball (a pvp warzone where you pretty much get a ball in the middle and try to take it into the enemy base which will give you a score)
- swtor alderaan (another pvp warzone)
- swtor gameplay
- swtor beta leak

You'll find loads of videos by searching this. Sometimes if you search for "swtor beta leak" and sort it out to the latest uploaded video you'll get lucky and watch a video that might get removed couple of hours later. That's how I stumbled upon a pretty skilled bounty hunter pvp gameplay video which has now been removed.

I'd also like to add that by doing so I also stumbled upon a character creation video (which also got removed) and trust me it was VERY detailed and customizable, all from the classic customization from hair cuts, face appearance, skin colour up to unique things such as body shape.

There also exists some torrents on some torrent sites. Not that many though.

Bear in mind that in 99% of these clips the people playing are noobs/average players (EVEN the dev walkthroughs). So don't bash the game too hard ;)

Hope that helps.

I have not posted any gameplay videos. The only video I actually have posted is the teaser trailer. All of the other links are to pages that describe a different function of the game mechanics. Would you guys be interested in my compiling some videos for a post of gameplay PvP and Raids?
