It isn't a stupid argument at all, and is quite valid. Aside from the story, there is very little that separates SWTOR from WoW. And SWTOR certainly doesn't do anything better.
Not its not, i utter bullshit and only proves the u got no argument skills what so ever.
FACT is if u get a list of stuff that SWTOR has that WoW doesnt, there are loads of aspects.. (same goes the othe way around)
They share similiraties cuz they share the same genre, just like a fps or a standard rpgs does or a beat em up etc.. u name it.. same goes for cars.. or cellphones etc.. there are always people who go outside the box do something diferent but in general u tend to find similar guidelines when u are doing something, for example a movie.. or whatever.
So your point is still complete utter bs, and on top of all, 90% of people who use that argument are either WoW fanatics which means EVERYTHING thats not World of Warcraft is shit and should be put to death and they hope EVERYTHING thats not WOW fails and dies of Anal Herpes or some horrible venereal disease or gets shelved, or its people that Have no clue how mmo's work and or have never actually played.
Now you could say "Omg ur biased towards SWTOR ur a SWTOR fanboy" actually im not.. Im very displeased with the game atm, i am playing it because i enjoy the time i spend with my friends there, but there are alot of issues that is making my experience very unpleasant, and i could list a dozen or things that are wrong with the game, such as i can list alot problems with wow, and alot of problems with Rift, because i actually played ALL 3 and END GAME Level and i can tell you THEY ARE ALL DIFERENT, cuz guess what ITS DIFERENT GAMES. SO Again that argument is silly unfounded and irritating in general.
So my point is, Regardless of a game bringing nothing new to its Genre, or having issues that other previous games from the same Genre do solve, saying the game is "A CLONE OF X" is completly retarded. Because fact is game that tend to COPY PAST other games literaly NEVER Survived, and belive me MMO genre is in no way the Genre that many issues regarding copy pasting. MOBA Genre has by far alot more problems in that area..
There are alot point where u can Bash SWTOR the games as alot of issues, saying "its a copy of wow" is just not 1 of them.
