the truth is, maintaing these servers aren't expensive at all. Games like WoW only milk money out of their customers even though it's not expensive to run their servers.

Also, GW1 was not a gamer for everybody, but GW2 is completely different and they are not to be compared!
Everything people hated about GW1 is completely changed in GW2.

And micro transaction and DLC's, expansions is good money incomes as well. Also remember that it's not pay to win shop, only cosmetic, character slots, stuff like that.

So you think Blizzard ONLY charge money to keep their servers running?

You know Blizzard staff does not work for free. I didn't mind paying for WoW when I played it because they released patches and had a good customer service to help you when mistake were made (this is what your money is used to, and prolly a huge chunk of profit to them).

Do you work for free?
Anyhow if GW2 do not charge people some extra somehow - they won't be able to renew the game with extra contents after some time.

I know it did.

Still a game with a monthly fee has much greater potential than one without. You can cover more expanses and have more crew.

I don't want to flame GW2, I myself think it looks like a good game, and wouldn't mind picking it up. We'll see what happens.

Well, imo all WoW did for example was to add more dungeons/raids etc so players would continue to spend money on the game every month.
So you just end up in the endless circle were you pay for the game, same content arrives but with some new gear you can collect, so you keep playing/paying.

I dont see why this is necessary at all, I would rather play a game like GW2 that put new things on the table. They changed and added so many things for the greater good and to make it a fun experience rather than grindy and endless with little fun.

Not sure I get my point out :D

in my opinion, this game will be alot better in the future, once they work out all of the kinks and understand the way they are gunna change thing around. lets not all forget, WoW has also gone through some pretty big changes, it hasnt always been 100% awesome, they did alot of character balancing all the time, as will SWTOR. they just need to get game play stable to keep people somewhat happy. if SWTOR were to take on some aspects of star wars galaxies (pre combat upgrade) it will be an incredible game. i personally would enjoy more customization in the armor/weapons able to be acquired, but who knows, in any future expansions they may release new races and classes?

long story short: im gunna stick with the game, i see alot of potential in the future for possible storylines and so forth
