Aside from this guy being the most annoying game reviewer I've ever heard of, it looks like you can set one skill to "auto attack", and then he's constantly spamming 1111!!! to kill stuff. Second video I've watched that bored me to death after 5 minutes. Does anyone have any good videos?

He is level 1 after all, and it's always boring to look at other play. First when you experience it with your own hands you can feel how it's like!

That's the other video I saw, and it's no more dynamic than SWToR pvp. Sorry.

It sure is :D

Admittedly the cinematic looks much better than actual gameplay. What were you trying to show?

Trying to show how awesome the game is, everything from grapichs, to the beautiful art and gameplay :D

perhaps this one then? It's 2 years old however, alot have changed since, it's not even in open beta yet, remember that.

try and see some PvP, maybe you will see that it's far more dynamic and fast paced.

you need to understand the above video is him playing as a beginner, and is lvl 5 or something.

first you need to learn and understand the mechanics, and then have all the available skills.

looks the exact same as ANY mmo pvp...only thing that makes it "look fast" is kuz its prolly on small ass maps..

even WoWs pvp looks fast in arena lol

I see some of your points, but really, nobody knows until the game comes out right? ^^

try look at this, tell me what you think, atleast TB seems to be in love with this game.

and by social, I mean that.. You can't killsteal, because all get a reward for helping out killing something. You dont have to form a party to be the once killing this boss, everyone automaticaly is in group together to try finish this random event.

How original, oh wait they have that in Rift.

that is because it's 5v5 pvp. and how can you not see the combat is fast paced?

there is WvWvW were 2000 people battle each other, hows that :D

well, this is much larger scale, Rift only had these Rift's that spawns a bunch of creeps you kill.

I didnt pick up swtor because i wanted the most unique and creative rpg to date, i did it because star wars kicks ass. At has quite a bit of WoW characteristics, but lets face it WoW was fun as hell for at least a while. They didnt make the game play like wow because they arent creative, they did it because its fun and people like it. I have played all kinds of mmos EQ, EQ2, WoW, Rift, Aion, Guild Wars, AoC, FF XI and now swtor. I dont want to play swtor because it is new and groundbreaking, I want to play it because i have retired the others and am ready for something else. This game combines two things I like, RPGs and Star Wars. It is worth buying on those grounds alone, even if the game play is recycled, the story is new and there are plenty of things that are unique to it. i plan on playing it until i get bored and then ill cencel my subscription and move on.

The only way id even consider buying Guild Wars 2 is if they gave me the 40 bucks back I wasted on the first shitty game. Guild wars was one of the most disappointing games i have ever purchased and I do not see myself forgetting about that and purchasing the sequel. I truly dont think a next gen mmorpg can survive purely off of the profit made from selling the game. It isnt a matter of money, I am certainly not a rich man but my video game budget is literally thousands and thousands of dollars per year and i refuse to bitch and moan over a mere 15 bucks a month. I am curious why they dont charge, nothing worth anything is free. Dont get me wrong, I will probably pick up GW2 when its 75% off on steam 1 year after its release but chances are I will be playing Diablo 3 by then... I hope so anyway

I thought Skyrim would bridge me over until Diablo 3 but it didnt so Star Wars just might fill that role. I wont know until im max level and struggling to get a solid group for the end game content which seems to happen oh so much in mmorpgs.

I know one thing worse than playing Star Wars: The Old Republic, and thats wasting time on a Star Wars: The Old Republic forum telling people not to play it.

Raped by what? :D

the truth is, maintaing these servers aren't expensive at all. Games like WoW only milk money out of their customers even though it's not expensive to run their servers.

Also, GW1 was not a gamer for everybody, but GW2 is completely different and they are not to be compared!
Everything people hated about GW1 is completely changed in GW2.

And micro transaction and DLC's, expansions is good money incomes as well. Also remember that it's not pay to win shop, only cosmetic, character slots, stuff like that.
