Most of the newer 2011-2012 games (bf3, swtor, d3) will require a decent video card.

well seeing as the game honestly isn't all that demanding. if your computer can't play it you are due for a new computer.

for the graphics, it is.

Doesnt look that much better then WoW, and i had wow on max graphics and np.

here i have everything on medium and in cities it still drops at times. (FPS)

This game is far better than WoW. Every quest is voice acted out with certain choices.
Your companions do your trade skills for you. You don't have to level them your self.
Built in Star Fox in the form of quests that give experience.
PvP is entertaining and lots of fun and you can straight level off PvP if you wish.
The story is amazing as well.

This game has great potential for a new computer buy, BUT....
I'm sad to say that right now it's buggy as hell (yes that's right, Bioware doesnt need protecting), which can be a real pain on the enjoyment factor.
I'm sure they'll get ironed out in a matter or time, so if is about time for a computer upgrade i'd say it's a good call. But if you can wait to play and your not a huge fan of clearing content first, I'd say it might be worth a little wait.

That's just my opinion, but its down to you =]

i hope it does, i like the game there is a lot of good within it but there are also a lot of things that bother me.

and hopefully they fix crew skill node bugs, a lot of the archaeology nodes are viewable on the mini map but are not target able.

i have scavenging and archaeology and it has only really been a problem with arch, a few desh piles and other scavenging nodes have bugged out on me but it is still my highest atm.

im guessing he meant to quote the original poster, since his post was unrelated to yours.

anyway as others have said the game isnt very demanding, you could probably put a computer together for relatively cheap and run the game. honestly its worth the investment in a new PC, this game is amazing and there are more good games coming out soon that you'll probably wish you had a good PC for. so im going to say yes, get a new computer

edit: and the game IS a little buggy, but it really doesnt affect gameplay enough to not play.. besides most of the big stuff will be fixed within a couple months
