Curious to know if this game is worth picking up, and hasn't bombed yet like Rift did.

Used to play WoW and enjoyed it a bit, but ended up quitting and selling my account. Is this game actually worth the purchase?

Story line is great.
Gearing is easy. Raiding is easy.
Pvp is fun.

story line = spacebar tha shit
gearing is too easy, raiding is buggy and easy
pvp is broken with ilum and easy too

i wouldnt bother the community is dead the game is a flop give it a year or two if it survives then they might have decent content but as it is now not worth it

community is not dead in fact i think it's quite alive...

The community isn't "dead" but it has been declining, well I wouldn't say declining either, but more like just stabilizing. As of right now, if you're looking for PVE content I think it's honestly worth picking up; however, if you're more of the pvp type, I would wait a couple months before picking this game up, since there's a decent amount of content coming out soon for the pvpers, because IMO the pvp content is not as satisfying atm. Just my 2 cents.

I would wait for Guild Wars 2 to come out.
