depends really on what you're old computer is imo.

If its a year old and it was a decent gaming rig a year ago, no. If it your mom's computer she bought 4 years ago, probably.

well seeing as the game honestly isn't all that demanding. if your computer can't play it you are due for a new computer.

not sure how much money you have lying around.
but so far this game has been very addicting for me and my brother.
as far as computer specs needed goes believe you can handle this game on low with almost any dual core, 4gb ram, and a decent 256mb card

i would suggest like a 2.8ghz dual core at least, parents have a 2.2ghz dual core and its always maxed out, it can run the game but not as well as you would like.
4gb ram would be alright. although ram is cheap right now and having more wouldnt hurt
don't know a ton about video cards, but honestly you don't need anything high end. my parents got a budget card in there computer and it works

2.8ghz amd quad core
6gb ddr3( ddr3 is cheap will soon by more)
ATI Raedeon HD 2600 XT(256MB Card)

Handles low fine but if I try anything more the game gets extremely choppy
So if you would like to play this on a higher setting then low get a better video card then I have
