Dont worry about gear until you get to level 50, cp160.

For leveling you could use gear crafted with the training trait to level up your skill lines quicker, but using it is personal preference, you'll need to get new training gear every 10-ish levels.
Personally i dont think its worth it, it doesnt take that long to level up your skill lines, most of the ones you will use (that are affected by training gear) should be at or almost at 50 by the time you get to cp160 anyways.
