Yo I want to make a Templar on eso but I stuck on whether to use Breton/dark elf/high elf etc..

I have any race any alliance so I could have Breton Templar aldmeri dominion etc I just can't decide what way to go

Wondering What's people's preferences if you could have your Templar any race regardless of faction what would it be?

So far Breton Templar aldmeri dominion is what I'm leaning towards but not fully decided so I ask, what would you do?
(Can't be imperial haven't bought the dlc)

Edit: also I won't be healer I'll be going mostly damage / crowd control (this is what matters)

Melee dps, or caster dps?

This is important to know. Will you be magicka based or stamina based. I have both a magicka templar and stamina templar.

This is the stuff I need to know, this Templar will be my first

It really depends on what role you want to play as. You can be dps with either magicka or stamina. If you want to be a healer, best would be magicka based.

I can't really comment on being a tank. I've tried it with my stamina templar at lower levels but then switched to dps because I though it was more fun. Being a good tank is something that really needs mastering.

'Which is Better?'.. Well, I like both magicka and stamina templars. They play differently.

My magicka templar is dps, but I have a lot of heals on my back bar. A lot of times in PVE area's I end up playing as a healer because there isn't a 'true' healer in the group, so I just 'assume' the role for the time being. They are flexible depending on the skills you use.

With stamina, you still have some pretty good healing/support options. Also, you get up close and personal with your enemies. With magicka you can keep a distance if you like, depending on your setup. IF.. I had to choose, I would say I prefer stamina based templars. I just have more fun with it.

So, as you can see, it really depends on the role you want to play and also what play-style you enjoy.

Stamina: Redguard, Bosmer and Orc are good.

Magicka: Altmer, Dunmer & Breton are good.

Check the racial passives and pick the one that makes the most sense for the type of character you want.
