This thread i will use to discuss new builds i tried/plan on trying.

I'm currently working with a Imperial nightblade vampire @ v8. Felt like I could take advantage of the huge racial bonuses they receive (Increase max health and stamina).

Primarily a PvP build but I have kept it playable for any grinding or solo farming I might want to do.

Quote
Assassination:
Assassin's blade => Killer's blade **
Teleport strike => Lotus Fan
Mark target => Reaper's Mark **

Passives:
l Master Assassin
ll Executioner
ll Pressure points
ll Hemorrhage

I never ever see anyone using Reaper's Mark. The ability is so overpowered we must exploit it, especially if we want to sustain in these fights. Reduces Spell AND Armor resistance by 8000 for 20 seconds, when the target dies you get restored 60% of your MAXIMUM health. Killer's blade heals us for 20% of our MAXIMUM health if we kill the enemy with that spell. If done properly you will be getting 80% of your max health restored PER monster/player killed. I see anywhere from 9 to 12,000 healing received when this procs.

Quote
Shadow:
Veiled strike => Concealed weapon *
Aspect of terror => Mass hysteria

Passives:
l Refreshing Shadows
ll Shadow barrier
ll Dark vigor
ll Dark veil

Mass hysteria is something I keep just for situations in pvp were you must get that 4 second terrify in. Concealed weapon is another skill I dont see used very often. Its got a high damage output and low magic cost but the two main reasons we want are: the passive Magick Flood (Increases our magic by 8%) AND while it's slotted, movement speed while stealthed or invisible is increased by 25%. We want to be extremely mobile with this build to close distance or evade players if necessary. Couple this with your elusive mist and you're seeing a 65% movement boost.

Quote
Siphoning:
Cripple => Crippling grasp
Siphoning strikes => ??????

Passives:
l Catalyst
ll Magicka Flood
l Soul siphoner
l Transfer

I left off which morph im using on Siphon strikes. It's going to come down to a matter of preference for you i imagine.

Part 2. Weapons and their reasoning

Quote
Dual wield:
Flurry => Blinding flurry
Whirlwind => Whirling blades

Passives:
ll Slaughter
ll Dual wield expert
ll Controlled fury
ll Ruffian
ll Twin blade and blunt

I really like the blinding flurry for pvp, Each hit has a 7% chance of setting the enemy off balance. Perfect for teleport stomping onto a lonely caster or healer and knocking them down

Most of you are probably spitting at your monitor asking WHAT NOT STEEL TORNADO? The increase in radius is nice but since we're primarily a magic champ we run out of stamina after 2 or 3 steel tornado spams. This is unacceptable especially if you need to block dodge or roll from an attack you would be a sitting duck. Whirling blades lets us regen 200 stamina every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.

Quote
Restoration staff:
Regeneration => Mutagen
Steadfast ward => ????
Force siphon => Siphon spirit

Passives:
ll Restoration expert
ll Cycle of life
ll Restoration master

Mutagen seemed like a hands down favorite for us in PvP.. Heals over 20 seconds & allies with less than 20% health are healed for additional hp and have one negative debuff removed.
Steadfast ward is going to ultimately come down to matter of preference. Neither morph can go wrong.
Siphon spirit for the health and magic regen

Part 3. Gear

For this build I decided to use 5 light and 2 medium armor pieces.
I have multiple setups stashed away and I wouldn't recommend a player on a budget to do this.

Quote
5 piece Armor of the Seducer.
(2 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(3 items) Adds 967 Max Magicka
(4 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(5 items) Reduce the Magicka cost of abilities by 8%.

Quote
5 piece Law of Julianos.
(2 items) Adds 688 Spell Critical
(3 items) Adds 967 Max Magicka
(4 items) Adds 688 Spell Critical
(5 items) Increase Spell Damage by 299

Quote
2 piece Willow's Path. (These are the dual wield swords i use)
(2 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(3 items) Adds 129 Stamina Recovery
(4 items) Adds 129 Health Recovery
(5 items) Increase all recovery in combat by 15%.

Quote
2 piece Torug's Pact.
(2 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
(3 items) Adds 1064 Max Health
(4 items) Adds 1935 Spell Resistance
(5 items) Reduce weapon enchantment's internal cooldown by 1 second. Increases enchantment potency by 30%.

Typically my build is the 5pc Seducer set with 2pc Torug's Pact and 2pc Willow's path as my dual swords.
I have Juliano's stashed away in case I need that extra damage.

There are two builds I haven't had the chance to try, and plan on testing these over the following week and updating this guide.

Quote
Twilight's Embrace.
(2 items) Adds 1064 Max Health
(3 items) Adds 688 Spell Critical
(4 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
(5 items) When you are healed, gain 10% additional healing.

Quote
Magnus' Gift.
(2 items) Adds 967 Max Magicka
(3 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(4 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
(5 items) 8% Chance to negate the Magicka cost of a spell.

I could really see twilight's embrace catching steam and becoming super popular. The 1k health and the 10% additional healing seem to be quite favorable for end game PvP.

Magnus doesn't provide much of a benefit in terms of the raw stats but any time you have a chance to completely negate the cost of a outgoing spell, that's something to consider.

Non-craftable sets that we should keep an eye out for (Vet dungeon drops for undaunted)..

Quote
Molag Kena.
(1 items) Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
(2 items) Causing damage with 3 consecutive light attacks triggers Overkill, which increases the cost of all abilities by 50% and increases your Spell Damage and Weapon Damage by 516 for 6 seconds.

Quote
Scourge harvester.
(1 items) Adds 1064 Max Health
(2 items) 6% chance when hit to create a beam that steals [x] Health from target. Beam breaks from targets greater than 10 meters away. While beam holds gain 30.0% increased healing from all sources.

Molag is very popular now and for good reason, but a not so popular distant favorite would have to be scourge harvester. We really want to keep up our magic/stam and health pools as much as possible WITHOUT having to use our backup restoration secondary.

Part 4. Jewelry and such

Quote
Willpower. (Ring, neck, staff)
(2 items) Adds 1451 Max Magicka
(3 items) Adds 193 Spell Damage

Quote
Grace of the Ancients. (Staff, ring)
(2 items) Adds 945 Max Magicka
(3 items) Increase Maximum Magicka by 4%.

Relatively cheap and somewhat easy to find, these items won't break your piggybank but will provide that extra boost your badass vampire is lookin for. If you were really serious about getting that magic pool as high as possible, a Breton might be the choice instead of an Imperial.

Breton
10% max magic
Reduces cost of magic spells by 3%

vs

Imperial
12% max health
10% max stamina

Parts 5 & 6 will be up later today.
