First, I recommend that you level multiple weapon lines, and all armor lines as you level up, so you have more options once you get near endgame. I assume (but might be wrong) that you are not anywhere near max level yet.
Gear: Medium armour x 5, and one each of light and heavy (with training trait!) should be enough to give you the good passives from medium, and get a decent level of the other armour skills. If you can, make, or get a 5 set of Hunding's Rage, and one set of Ashen Grip gear crafted (you can then use this set for multiple levels), otherwise just use whatever you loot. (If you chose to just use loot, then dont bother wasting money on repair, just replace destroyed gear with loot as you go)
Dual wield is a good choice, so is two hander (the 2h cleave morph Brawler is INSANE for survival on big AE pulls of 10+ mobs), but for dual wield a combination of vampire ultimate and Steel Tornado (Whirlwind) will do the job.
Suggested hotbar for genearl use, with a bit of AE and a bit of single target: Killer's Blade (Assassins blade morph), Surprise Attack (Veiled Strike), Steel Tornado (Whirlwind) for your main attacks (rending slashes is also great, rapid strikes also, I'd swap them now and then to level all moprhs eventually). For the last two, either pick some skill you want to level up, or some useful buff like Evil Hunter (expert hunter morph), Sap Essence (Drain power morph - yes, the magicka morph, not the stamina one, mainly useful for the buff, and you can use it to spend some magicka), Relentless Focus (Grim Focus), or use a mobility skill like Ambush (Teleport Strike) if you wish.
Once you get level 10 fighters guild (takes a while, killing undead and daedra while leveling or grinding), then the Flawless dawnbreaker ultimate will be great, you can use several of the other ultimates as well. Vampire one is nice for survival on AE packs (not needed if you use 2h), death stroke is cheap and nice for single target, while soul shred is nice to stun a pack as you AE it, consuming darkness is more for group play.
For the bow bar, which you'll mostly use for kiting bosses you cant tank, the main bow skills you need is Venom arrow (Poison arrow), and Magnum shot (scatter shot) for damage and kiting. Pick some other useful ability for the rest OR place skills you want to level, but not really use right now, and swap to bow every time you turn in a quest to give those skills some xp.
Stat points/enchants: Roughly half each of health and stamina, nothing in magicka, and you are fine as you level.
Finally, learn how to weave attacks if you haven't already (just google it), it increase your damage immensely.
