Alternatively you could try this; This is a good character build I think you would like; max out the following and use this formula.

Skills; Sneaking, One Handed weapon, Illusion, Conjuration, Archery
1. Sneak everywhere never ride a horse (You will be amazed how many exp you get just by sneaking past a giant.

2. Get the spell (right hand) Bound Blade (cast it every time it stops it drop good exp on almost every time you encounter an enemy even if you don't fight)

3. Get the spell (left/off-hand) Muffle (cast it continually as soon as your magic increases, cast again I think its a "glitch" but it will give you massive exp boosts)

4. If starting a character immediately go to Riverwood (carry everything sellable from Helgen use the bow in stealth mode to move faster then sell everything, except what you think you need).
-Talk to Sven, tell Camilla he's a liar, talk to Faendal take him as a follower (since he's your follower he can train you in Archery, this will level you up and you can take your money back, repeat this process over and over) NOTE: He trains you in Archery but you can spend the points where you want.

Stealth your way to Windhelm and start the Dark Brotherhood quest

Use this "Formula" and be character level 30 within 1 weekish and 100 skill in Illusion

google skyrim blog and you'll find a great site with character builds, roleplaying ideas, lore, etc.

If you are playing mage you may want to lower the difficulty settings for the first some levels

Dummer are perfect for vampires bc of fire resists!! If you're down for getting dawn guard (I suggest it cuz there's a few big fixes in it)

As for advice I'd stick to one or two skills mostly. Diversifying screws you over esp in upper difficulties

I always had the most fun with necromancers :p
So conj, alt, 1hand or destruc
Minor alch and enchant
