I played the closed-beta for ESO, and actually found it pretty amazing, it may sounds weird but i couldn't ever get into elder scrolls, or skyrim due to the lack of enemies and such.

I've been reading some of the reviews and found a lot of people hated it, and some people loved it... I can't decide what to believe lol.

I guess my main questions are, are the Devs keeping their promise to implement large amounts of content with patches like they promised? How's the community? Is it supportive? What have the Devs added so far that might wow a crowd?

I'm guessing some of you play/played FF14 online? Their Devs promised the same, but i've yet to see something that'll "wow" a crowd besides a couple instances that are just like the ones before it.

A couple things that i liked about ESO is the questline, i've really never been a big fan of PVE, but ESO kinda sucked me in with the storyline, it was absolutely amazing, apart from a lot of the questing functions bugged out such as as sidequests.

I'm hoping other JSP'ers might see this post and get some insight as well, so please post your reasoning on whether to get ESO or not :)

Thank you very much for your time ^_^

I lasted til lvl 8 in FF14. I am max level/VR in TESO. All 3 spec's working fine and gearing out my healing set.

It's good and bad. Its buggy as hell. PC is just a testing grounds for the console release.

It's fun though, I've been playing since pre-release and not bored. I will be bored and probably switch over to Arche Age for MMO (already own it, i like it more than TESO) eventually .

The end game for PvP is cyrodil. Some like it.. i find it too repetitive for PvP and to much PvE needed most of the time. It has its perks but I'm more of an arena, be able to show off your skill in 5v5s or even teams then just be a zerg number. Not that there isn't organized groups but... its all siege for emperor-ship

They are releasing content but ... idk . They are doing sub-par, which is why there was a mass exodus from TESO.

EG.- I am NB. Bugged since day 1. Got fixed recently and now there are new bugs in places that weren't buggy before. Some get fixed. Some get ignored.

Its their first MMO as well for the company.

What irked me is that its thru email and have no way of validating who they are.

Just poor thought on a few things.

Classes are fun. Content is fun, quests are fun. But... its still missing a lot

ah so basically they're just fixing bugs still? i noticed during closed beta, they had tons of bug, you couldn't do a side quest without running into a bug >.< lol.
so there hasn't been any nice content releases yet?

it seems the community is voting in favor of me getting eso, but sadly only one person posted about why :p please post your reasoning so that others like myself can check this forum out for some insight as well. Thank you :)

I play this game quite a bit and love it. I like how big it is and how much there is to do to 100% it. I occasionally run into crashes, but I haven't experienced any other major bugs.

I'd agree with you. I guess for someone like me I haven't gotten to the part where I'm starting to miss things.

I quit the game when reaching the first veteran ranks; I experienced a lot of minimalistic bugs on the skills I used and the weapon switch mechanism but never really had a problem with it-
till I hit the veteran areas

I played a templar, full heal spec, with decent ranged abilities
before vr1 i could easily do big groups solo, after vr1 I sometimes even died just to 2 enemies because I wasnt able to deal with them AND the difficulty of handling the spells; they say there's no global cooldown but there is, and its totally unexact
from different spell animations seem to come different cooldowns, well that's something one can get used to, but the weapon switch mechanic just has a random cooldown thats somehow connected to the spell you use before (if you aren't using any spells the weapon switch mechanism works properly)
in the beginning i thought i'd get over it but after hitting vr2 and seeing no change I had a couple of rage deaths (not to mention the fun times when I used my ulti, nothing happened but the resources for using it were gone, happend quite often) I just had to realize the fact that this is just another not-ready2publish game

if you can deal with that, you still can put an amazingly huge bulk of time into these amazing graphics and quests

NA has more players.

As for pvp campaigns, higher score is a higher population

cyrodiil lag is bad, but i would still get it. One of the better MMOs I've played, very happy with the overall experience.
