Just wondering guys.

The Mmo's I've played in the past, the items involved had +stats etc.

I'm lvl 15, still new to the game and still using very low level items.
Question is, do items make a big difference at all?
I only see items that give little +mana or Hp.

ALSO!!! I went into guild store and bought 2x blue coloured items, I paid for it, but i can't find them in my inventory, what happened?

I think when you get higher up you can find items with more stats. But if you bought from the guild store, I'm assuming using your alliance points? Then it comes in a box in your inventory, you right click to open it and a random item appears.

Items have 1 enchantment (+hp, mana, stamina, armor) and 1 trait (+armor%, exploration exp etc..).

Items you purchase comes in mail, it can take a while for them to arrive.

If you bought from guild store, they will be as to what they person had listed them as.

IE cloth, in armor tab
weps in wep tab ..... derp

BUTTTT

most people put good stuff in junk... ACJT < acronym for always check junk tab

Yes each level is a small gain. But isn't every MMO?

To answer the item question, yes and no.

Gear makes HUGE difference. But its not worth investing anything into your gear until you are VR12 (unless certain level set)

Why I love TESO so much (and am still playing this bug filled game) is that they did a great job of balancing skill > gear.

Yes a higher level is going to wreck you, but that is mostly because at VR12 everyone goes for the gear and item sets they want.
VR12 crafted gear is amazing.
A few non crafted gear sets are amazing.
A good player can still take down someone who out damages and out gears them - play smarter (hard to do tho, caz these vr12s have been playing longer)

You can make any crafted set , any time , for any level. But you will be wasting gold and valuable materials doing so.
Personally all my gear I craft to Epic. Weapons to legendary (if needed). I also tank heal and dps so I've got a lot of gear combos going. Gear to optimize your build - I highly recommend a separate pve and a pvp set.

All class skills are affected by max magicka and spell power (I may be wrong here, but easy to test if. Take off 1 piece of item with magicka on it. Check skill with K , go over tooltip. Did dmg decrease? )

All weapon skills are affected by weapon power (not always max stam) eg. Bow skills will inc with the more stam you have. Restoration skills will not. YES RESTORATION STAFF HEALING IS INCREASED THRU WEAPON DAMAGE.

Here's the tricky part - destro and resto staff use weapon power for damge but use spell power for crits. Same goes for your class skills that meele based - ie Nightblade surprise attack. > weap crit but uses magicka for dmg

Here's how you do it...

1. Figure out your build
2. Dump all points gained during leveling into hp . This should leave you with 0 / 49 hp / 0
3. Pick caster or meele. Since meele sucks you will be casting (but if you insist)
4. Pick sets, optimize for role - PvE? PvP? Tanky? Bursty? etc
5. Enchant main 3 pieces (body, legs, head) with your main stat. Are you Maxed? If no, add stat to all minor pieces.
6. If you somehow have maxed either mag or stam, feel free to dump extra into opposite stat. I don't recommend it but doable.
7. Jewelry - Aside from a PvE tank, Ring x2 and neck can give +42 spell or weapon power. Also good for vamps to put a flame enchant here - if you suck vs fire (I personally am a vamp and don't use flame rez, unless tanking)

Lots of info for you to take in, pm me if you got any eso questions.

Although there are a lot of good different sets out there the selection is becoming pretty generic.

Hands down best crafted cloth DPS set will be 5/5 twilights embrace 3/5 willows path (10% inc spell crit, 10% inc healing on you)

So for going thru the game and getting VR12 , this really isn't that big. Mage light itself gives me 20% spell crit.

It's once you get the gear, get the game sense and lock in the build - when people start fearing you, what you're referring to in your post.

Don't get me wrong tho,
before the patch there was 1 type of DK
AoE fire that bat swarm would never come down off of.

evolved into the DK that could put up 6 battle standards before the 1st on timed out.

They have luckily gotten away from that tho :)
