I cant seem to kill things before they come kill me or if i do its a pain.
I thought woodelfs could summon animals to tank for me :/
what skill should i be getting?

You can re-spec at the capital city of each alliance for a gold fee.

group up with people. Fixes problem every time.

Woodelf is a pretty weak race.

But you need to go full light armor with 50% stamina and abuse Siphon Strikes + Stealth with your bow abilities.
This will allow you to solo pretty much any content.

Sadly this is what im starting to see...
mages soloing 1-2 mobs easily
while i just stuggle with one monster lol.
light armor not medium?

Light armor
Siphon Strikes + Stealth + Bow abilities

You can solo anything in the game except 4-man content.

Sword/Shield with Defensive Stance to defeat any ranged boss by pressing 1 button

if you can't kill 1 mob as NB, you're doing it wrong.... oh so wrong

Roll a sorc if you think they are so easy. NBs require some skill and sick of seeing baddies QQing over them.

News flash: NB is fine, you just suck.

this isn't wow, you're not a ranger. mages can keep their crappy pets.
