Don't just get bit because you think it's cool. There are downsides and you get vamp/WW depending on your build/setup.
For my build I want neither.

Being a vampire means every player in the game has a 5% chance to 1-shot you, and can knock you down whenever they want (unless you dodge).
Being a vampire means any end-game PvE with fire damage will 1-shot you.
