I'm really enjoying this game so far. We'll see how it progresses, but I've been very pleased.

I played in a few betas, including one of the really recent ones, and the game is a lot better. Everything is smoother and runs better, which is to be expected, but they also tweaked a few things regarding general gameplay.

It's definitely an MMO through and through; get quests, finish quests, move to the next area. But I like MMOs and I like this one so far.

As a reference, I played WoW for years.
I tried Guild Wars 2, FFXIV (the new one), Rift, and the star wars one. None of the other MMOs outside of WoW ever held my interest at all. I cant wait to get home and play ESO.

I bought it, I was sucked into preorder imperial for the content...but I won't get to play until next week!

I played one beta, glad to hear its improved. The content was great I thought, and I didnt even get to pvp.
For an mmo, the fighting mechanics are awesome. I think a lot of people are just disappointed because its not skyrim quality fighting mechanics...but the essentials are there. Definately a step up from wow where its all target/button/cooldown.

One nice change from skyrim style combat is that you can actually block if you're dual wielding. It always bugged me how you couldnt do that in the past.

There's still a little bit of parrying and dynamic combat actions too.
