depends on play style... if you want to be up in the action play warrior. if you want to be stealth play thief/ranger.

I have played both thoroughly and like both. with a stealthy range character you can 1 shot trolls/giants. you don't need worry about getting hit as thief/ranger b/c no one will ever see/hit you.

Can't really say.. I did a Redguard 1 handed sword an shield on PS3 and it did pretty well. Killed a lot of things with ease but the close combat sometimes does suck.

I made a stealthy Ranger on PC version and it killed a lot of things extremely fast but killing dragons on the other hand really sucks.. Mainly cause it's hard to aim at them when they fly around most of the time. So what i did was do all the side quests and DLC before starting the actual main line quest so i wouldn't have to fight any dragons while i did all side quests.

why not be both?

my lvl 47 has 100 1handed 85archery 100 stealth 92 block

just keep necesary items under quick menu

doesn't matter. any of the primary character archetypes (1h + shield, 2h, sneak, destruction magic, etc.) are pretty much unstoppable by the mid 30s or so.

sneak is kinda cool, but its slower bc you have to get in position and you move more slowly while sneaked. when i finally rolled a non-sneak character i was thrilled to be able to just charge in and kill shit

any true nord would pick up a shield and sword....dog.
