i reinstalled it today and it'll constantly crash to my desktop
i have quite a few hours on it, so no my setup is fine
and i have no mods etc

Any error log? This is most likely just one of the skyrim's "features".

no, it doesn't give me any error.
i'll start a new game and before you get to the autosave it'll randomly crash
or if i go onto an old save i can run around for a bit and eventually it crashes (2-5 mins max)

are you playing with mods

You are probably aint using the original game, you probably have to add fix patch.

i dl it off steam, i've done the verify integrity and it finds 1 file but that doesn't do anything.
