If I buy it off of amazon, will it activate through steam? Or will it be separate?
I'd like it to be on steam, but i'd also like to pay $40 instead of $60 :/

have never had physical copy of a game that can be activated through steam, so dunno. i think it really doesnt matter, you can make a virtual copy of it anyawy, so it doesnt matter if you lose the CD

Actually, i had my mates TF2 cds (before it was F2P) and tried to activate it and obviously it didnt work, because the key was already used. so if it's used game, you cant activate it through steam.

You should be able to activate that, as it says "Requires internet access for Steam activation."

I guess i'm not buying from GMG, payment didn't go through because some banks look at it as a gambling website...

that's well dumb policy, some banks actually block steam for the very reason. you can just call your bank and ask if they would allow the payment go through. my mate did same with steam: called the bank and they allowed him doing purchase.
