I think Oblivion will of been the last Elder Scrolls game that wasn't a sell out.
From the couple hours I've played in Skyrim, my hand's being held like I'm a five year old crossing the street.
It's sad that the Elder Scrolls series had to sell out for more money but who wouldn't? :santa:

I'm thinking about playing Arena and Daggerfall just for the shits n giggles because I'm bored enough to post on jsp.

Skyrim streamlined player involvement/ action and skills and gets called a "sell out"? It felt like a natural, much needed progression, imo, and I've been loving the series since Daggerfall.

just because dungeons were alike doesnt mean that the game was horrible, just that dungeons were boring. and they indeed were boring

I don't know if it's true or not, but it felt to me like Oblivion had twice the number of dungeons that Skyrim did. Oblivion had all the regular dungeons in the world, then all the "oblivion gate" dungeons. And no, they weren't all the same, the layouts were totally different. I played Oblivion for like 100 hours before I ever did another gate past Kvatch.. so that says a lot.

Agreed. Oblivion had the GOTY also, which added a huge quest onto the main storyline, and an entire new realm, with two large halves styles completely different. Oblivion yo
