You guys play that D3 open weekend beta recently? Thoughts? Personally, when D3 comes out, my mouse is gonna take up the space that's reserved for my controller probably.

i knew about it before it got opened, but couldnt be arsed on downloading it

I'm still debating on whether or not I'm gonna get d3 honestly. I didn't play the beta, but i'm disappointed that they are releasing the game when it's not completely finished. I have a feeling that they will probably release the PVP as another expansion you have to buy, which is really lame. I'm just wary about that.

I don't doubt that they'll sell pvp in an expansion but I'm sure that won't be the only thing that comes out with it and expansions always accompany online games so it isn't really an issue to me. I was never a fan of pvp anyways so the pvm aspect seems to be quite entertaining to me when I played the beta. I don't look at the game as a successor to D2, I look at it as every other game and it just feels like a nice rpg.

It's definitely not like D2. It kinda feels like a successor to Titan Quest, rather than D2, imo. Looks like it plays almost the same as Titan Quest.

Wow..found out something funny just now. So you know how on facebook we apparently have an "Other" sub-link below our "Messages"? Almost seems to be full of spam type emails and I decided to look through cuz I just noticed it and w/e and I guess I had won a beta key way back on March 14 but I had to respond within 48 hours LOL, so much for that haha

I've played the beta on all characters to 13. I'm stoked about the release and get my video card Friday. It went down and I haven't been able to play Skyrim for a couple months, so I had to get a cheap back-up =/ I already pre-ordered the CE as I'm pretty busy and won't be able to play at release anyway. Not including PvP is not an issue for me. I was never big on it in 1 or 2, and the gameplay of 3 is pretty sweet IMO.

I'm not a fan of PvP so that doesn't matter to me.

Going to Yellowstone the week it comes out so I'm going to be so far behind everyone...

I just hope the item hunting system is more like Classic D2, rather than like Lord of Destruction. Everything in Lord of Destruction was just runewords, so everyone ended up using the same old shit. In Classic D2, since rare items were the best, people all had different gear.

If D3 turns out to be more like LOD, I think that's pretty fail. Differentiated gear ftw.

True enough about runewords and differentiating gear but I always thought people had pretty similar gear on classic D2. The "pros" all wanted similar stats on each item and everyone knew exactly what mods could could generate on all the items for maximum value.
