Played GW2... dead now, though megaservers make it "feel like" they aren't. We all moved on from that game long ago.

TERA... I play on Mount Tyrannas; rape there.

ESO... umm, played it obviously?

And I don't see how any of them compare to 3v3 Arenas on WoW sadly. Besides EQ or the old DAoC days of PvP, I haven't seen much balance and non-zerg PvP on any game yet.

And I'm talking PvE / Raiding for MMOs, not PvP.

MMOs = Raid
FPS  =  Rape

They compare in that they are much higher skill cap games that are generally more challenging.
If you're looking to be competitive, you are proving nothing at all by playing easy games. Being #1 in WoW compares to being #100 in TERA in terms of skill requirements.

GW2, ESO, TERA are all non-zerg PvP if you aren't bad.
And all also allow you to have high quality fights with smaller numbers.

Raiding is a joke. The more people required, the less skill required by each individual player.

I don't see how being #1 in WoW compares to being #100 in TERA, considering there are WAY less people playing TERA. If you're taking in account the "skill needed" to play TERA then maybe so, but believe me, I am just as good, if not better at any game compared to the people beside me. I used to do this shit for a living, until I got edgejuhmuhcated, and I got there thankfully via games.

I do agree that the more people required, the less skill required by the individual, which is why I prefer 10man raids than 25man raids, but that is still a long standing debate on which is "harder" because 1 person can still fuck everything up for all. More people, more chances to fuck up, but also gives more room to work with because 1 less person out of larger group won't impact it as much as 1 person out of a smaller group raid.

And do you really, think GW2 and ESO compare to small scale, 3v3 (most balanced) arenas in WoW? Hell, even Rift I'd have 30m-50m battles that would range across the whole map, and even in Everquest we'd be PvPing across whole zones (one area to the next), and I won't even bring up DAoC... the last decent PvP game.

ESO hasn't reached it's potential, so I don't think it's fair to bring that up just yet, but there is hope... but hope always fails with any game that's came out in the past oh... decade? It's ALL shit to be honest.

I've been knockin' about in DayZ for a good while now. Great fun I have there when I decide to play it.

As of now though, I'm going back to my NES. I have a few hundred NES titles downstairs, and I haven't managed to beat some of the more harder ones. Trying to beat Ninja Gaiden without dieing once... can do so without continuing... but 6-2 fucking PISSES me off every time.

So here a small Note from myself based on my opinion and the opinion of my friends:

I love the game, because it basically feels for me like some kind of Runescape with very good graphics compared with the gameplay of the elder scroll series.

I like collecting things and see how my skills increase with the effort i put into collecting things. - i like it ... my friends hate it :)

The questing and leveling is very long term based and takes a huge amount of time, compared to other games ... when you see the progression in many mmos going like level 1,2,3,4,5,6 its more like 1 .. 2 ... 3. ... 4 ........5 ..........6 .............. increasing in time.

There are not much kill xx quests, which can be disappointing for some people, especially players that doesnt prefer leveling and questing part. As the quests in TESO are more of a story you play through and not like go there make quests gain levels and go on - i love it ... some of my friends hate it and are thinking about leaving the game because of this

The difficutly in this game is kinda high especially in lower levels i had some enemies killing me permanent as mage when i engaged against more than 1 ... right now as healer i have no problems (lvl 20) on solo questing

All in all its ur decission

I think GW2, ESO, TERA are all higher skill cap games than any of the other ones listed in this thread.
But ESO is stupidly balanced in all aspects of the term balance. GW2 is fairly depopulated now and I've played way too much of that game anyway.

I'm actually going back to TERA and ditching this game. An actual moderately balanced game that actually requires skill.

Post like this cant be taken serious ... Did you play Tera from the start on? ... there was no balance at all ... it was like 1 shotting everything in pvp in high end and getting raped by everything in pve ... the balance in this game came thanks to the time the game existed ... and so it is / will it be with TESO ... Balance comes with Time.... no gaming company can implement a 100% balanced game without a xxxxxxx player base in the development phase

Yeah, at the low levels you really can't fight anything that is a higher level than you are unless you kite really well. Especially if it has a border (I had to fight one of the brothers of strife, forget his name, like 3 times, once at level 6, 7, and 8, to finally beat him).

I'm just going to summarize my opinion on this game:
-This game is awesome if you want to quest.
-This game's skill progression is pretty sweet.
-This game's pvp is the best I've played, and I haven't even become a vet yet OR played it very seriously.
-This game feels like other elder scrolls games when it comes to lore. If you want to immerse yourself in a world this is definitely for you.
-This game isn't entirely polished. Bugs, balance issues, and stuff like that are still an issue.

A pretty solid assessment imo. Agree with everything above. Not a huge PVPer, but I went in there a few times and was able to figure out what was going on and had a lot of fun.
