Yeah pvp is whatever the fuck you want. You can zerg, you can hunt, you can try to get people to 1v1 you legit, you can camp, whatever you feel like doing. I'm debating moving to a lower population campaign just to see what its like. Auriel's Bow is fine and all but it sometimes gets overwhelming. And then when the lower population bores me, I'll move back to the Bow or wabba.

You can take keeps with a group of 15 pretty easily.
And have smaller scale battles.

seems good. Fuck now I wanna get a playgroup together for a few nights a week or something. Just 15 people, just ebonheart NA, just pvp for like an hour or two 3 nights a week.

I do agree with u
I'm a raider by heart pve all da way
But I'm always down for pvp
I'm sure in a few patches they will add a lot of pve raids/dungeons
I think they want u to really get used to ur character till they open the floodgates
Remember raids in WoW vanilla, horrible, look at them now
Still willing to pay/play here hands down

No doubt, I know they'll add the content I'm hoping to see, but when? And honestly, with the clunky/unpolished feel of our characters, how good will it be?

WoW, Rift, and even Allods have a real smoothed out polished feel when playing, but ESO and many other MMOs just aren't. I wish I could say the same about Everquest considering it's my favorite game PERIOD, but besides WoW, and Rift; I can't think of many.

Granted though, if the content is there, and it's playable, I'm there... but it's not here; so I won't be unfortunately. I'm capped right now, done everything for the most part, my crafting is all maxed, all that shit is good, so I'll be sitting out until they release anything worth subbing for.

I just want to raid... that's all. I'm sure within the next few patches they'll have something out. Until then... back to being King on WoW (well... Queen, ahem... not 1st in US anymore), and playing my Cleric on EQ here and there until ZOS wants to release something, but I'd much rather them take their time, release something good, and fix some of the bugs first.

I have to agree with the clunky feel. But skyrim felt that way to me too for a while. I don't understand how you have fun maxing everything out. That just happens with time, but all the game content you missed and stuff just blows my mind.

I don't know what I missed that others did. I did the 1-50 quests (minus 5 levels in Coldharbour that I grinded). The quests weren't even that fun to me. It was a blast the first 20-30 levels or so, but I've seen and done it on every other MMO. There were parts that were pretty awesome, and I even died twice doing one of the solo quests (the one where some bitch spawns an army of undead ghosts as she's floating in the air, mid-late 30s quest), but I just ended up hiding behind a pillar to recover.

The only parts I really missed were during the VR Ranks. I did the quests in VR 1, cleared the zone, and still fell short from the next rank and ended up grinding, theeeen I just formed the first "raid" group and we all did what is now known to be the fastest way to level. Actually... I have a VR1 Temp too on a different faction, so I haven't missed too much on that note.

Yea, I rushed, yea, I may have missed some things (I know I have), especially story line stuff, but I don't play MMOs for the story... I play to raid, or play with my guild/friends. If there's a good story tied to it; awesome, but I'd just rather read a book if I wanted that.

If this was a single-player game (like Final Fantasy, Dragon Age, Skyrim, Fallout, Mass Effect, Infinite Undiscovery, Star Ocean, etc), I would have taken my time and would have wanted to get lost in the story, but when it comes to these types of games; I am competitive, and with my mentality I need to be "the best". You're right, it's NOT fun, and I do not encourage others to go this route, because you will end up where I am; burned out with nothing to do.

As I've gotten older, I'm less interested in a story than the game itself sadly. Everquest was the last MMO that I knew anything about the story or lore, but I was still young when I started that game, around the age of 13. I've been playing WoW since release also, and I don't know a DAMN thing about the lore... I just play the game.

But yea... it is kinda clunky controlling your character... though I have a VR1 Temp also who doesn't seem as bad as my main though.

To me, this just feels like it will be a great console game, but not so great PC game. This is why I'm afraid of seeing EQNext come out... because they are also making it for PS4, and they will be keeping that in mind when making it, just like Blizzard did with Diablo 3, so they will be dumbing things down on all ends. Dislike.

But who knows, this may end up being as great as I hoped it would be, but I haven't played a single game yet that lived up to the hype, like Titanfall recently... and Diablo 3 before that, and FF14 as well.

Only time will tell... but these are just my opinions.

I guess I get it. But I bought this game wanting it to be skyrim-like, and it delivers for the most part. I really enjoy spending my time, regardless of mmo or not in this type of game. There is a part of me that just wants to be VR10 and max crafting and max all skills and have perfect gear and then just play pvp and stuff, but really I like just doing a level or so a sitting and then fucking around on pvp. I dunno I can just see myself as one of those guys that plays this game for years and only gets VR10 on 1-2 chars. Maybe never even get VR10 lol.

You picked the wrong game. There is no where for you to be competitive.
Also, if you're so competitive, why are you playing such easy games? WoW has a much lower skill cap than other games, and is regularly unbalanced.

What other games do I have to choose from as far as MMOs? I've played them all, done everything. Honestly, the only MMORPG that requires skill now, is Everquest. Always has been for raiding; then again, people just think it's zerging seems we can have 100+ people in a zone at a time, but it's not as easy as people think.

WoW is "the game" that people still play, and granted it's not hard, but it requires a well dedicated group to be as high a rank as we are. On EQ, we're top rank, but there's not a whole lot of competition there anymore. Rift, we also were top rank when we played, but we all went back to WoW. Rift was great, but we cleared the second raid instance the night it came out... hardly a challenge.

I've also always played FPS, and compete in them as well and have before I was even a teenager; starting off with Quake 3 (I am quite well known there...), CS, Halo 1/2/3, and now moved onto Duty sadly. I paid my way through college and then some doing this. Sadly, MMOs are easier, because you're battling boss mechanics; not other people who can be unpredictable at times (which I prefer).

Sooo, I don't know what else to say. What other game could I be playing and still be competitive at that I currently am not playing now? Besides LoL, there's not many in the spotlight besides the ones I have mentioned.

I was just hoping I could do the same here. Never know until you try, right?

GW2, ESO, TERA all have much more skill oriented PvP than any of the games you listed.

TERA even has difficult boss mechanics in it. Something quite rare in games.

Played GW2... dead now, though megaservers make it "feel like" they aren't. We all moved on from that game long ago.

TERA... I play on Mount Tyrannas; rape there.

ESO... umm, played it obviously?

And I don't see how any of them compare to 3v3 Arenas on WoW sadly. Besides EQ or the old DAoC days of PvP, I haven't seen much balance and non-zerg PvP on any game yet.

And I'm talking PvE / Raiding for MMOs, not PvP.

MMOs = Raid
FPS = Rape
