i can only guess that if you try to share a screenshot of the game, they use this to know which account took it, thus they can ban the account and possibly take action against you

As a BETA tester you agreed to a NDA. So if you shared screenshots or streamed this CLOSED BETA, you will be perma-banned. They will know who is doing it by the email watermark.

Good feature IMO.
