There are too many games to name that have a better story than TES series.
Honestly, people don't play an elder scrolls game for the overall plot. They play it because of the open world and freedom.

Negatory.
Lol, what? The whole drawing factor of TES is the fact that the main story is 100% irrelevant in the story you can make for your character. You can lead a whole plot and huge story line all in your head without eer doing a single main quest. That has been the main lure and it will always be. That is what makes TES games so amazing. You have so freedom to do what you please, and how you please. Want to live the life of a peasant? By all means dress up in rags and chop some wood. You can literally shape a story for hours upon hours in TES that is all 100% player created based on their imagination.
So to say that the main plot is a big deal in ANY TES game is silly. I will agree that Morrowind had a better story but it too was irrelevant. I spent 500+ hours before ever talking Casius on my first character. I just did whatever and loved it.
The real fun in TES games is its player freedom and the ability for the player to make his own story about the character he is playing.
Also the Radient AI didn't work like we were all thinking, its just a newer system of giving you even more meaningless tasks.Basically a way to force you to explore more, but still lackluster in the department of questing goes. I would like to see in the next installment a more faction vs faction vs faction vs faction. There should be wars tearing the leand apart, fighting for control. The Civil War in Skyrim feels so weak. Sometimes you will come across a small group of Imperials and Stormcloaks fighting. You should ahve to build reputation with one of the sides to help them in fighting the enemies. This would lead to you joining their army and going on military patrols, raiding parties, etc. I want to see more war, especially when one of the main plots in a game is considered the Civil War. Skyrim barely feels like it is at war, unless you mod it of course. But console gamers dont get that feeling no matter what. And honestly their lack of building on the war made that part fo the game feel very weak.
