please dont talk bullshit,

gold market went down, due deflation. (yes things like that exists in games too!)
chinese gold farmers prices increased also.

and there are a lot more sellers than feijyang

I disagree with you.

Deflation is the exact opposite of what is happening in ESO. With few to no gold sinks, gold is more plentiful than ever. Anyone who is basing their prices off of Chinese gold farmers is also insane. I would imagine that few people would deal with them for fear of losing their accounts. The only thing that can drive the ratio one way or another is supply and demand. It's only ever been that way with practically every other MMO worth its salt on this forum for as long as I have been here.

Like sam said, and I agree, someone made the decision all on his own to jack the price, slapped on some quasi-true sounding reasons, and the rest of the sheep followed suit.

Well, screw that. I'm not paying those prices. To be honest, I haven't seen any FG exchange hands since this price jump, and I've been watching.

I've been following as well, since i bought eso gold at 10fg (around 200k worth) and within the week it was at 1:36 ratio (up 26 points)

I can in-fact confirm that gold prices did raise within this time. From 15$ to 33$ / 100,000 eso gold.

Hopefully this explains why people have raised their prices. You might ask why d2 prices raise with the chinese gold farming pricess...

Maybe because certain people (on d2) are suppliers for these Chinese gold farms. They know the prices and what they are going to be raised to, hence why no gold/fg has been openly traded.

edit - also a lot of gold was duped at release. it has either been used up, or maybe a lot of it got destroyed . As for their being no gold sinks in the game,

mount - 42k
bag space - 100k or so
bank space - 300k + or so

442k gold to sink into bag space and mount alone, not to mention mats for crafting gear, and all the pancea of health pots or sp/wp crit pots, etc.
Gold is highly needed. If you disagree then ur not using pots each battle, have the top gear, etc - or maybe you do and just have no life :)
