Its a meh game. But I expect more out of this series, so its bad...

Medicore MMO

Terrible game once it got rights to Elder Scrolls.

Its more like Guild wars than it would ever be skyrim.

This. Thoroughly unimpressed with it.

just finished installing after like 7 fucking hours (christ this game is huge).
Just finished playing after like 20 minutes.
Its Skyrim/Oblivion, but feels even more pointless and retarded.
Wish I would have sold my beta key instead.

As a side note the controls / combat system for the latest elder scrolls games are fucking awful (to me), so thats probably whats turning me off to it, beyond the boredom factor.

Oddly enough, I like it regardless of the negative feedback. There are a few things that bother me, one being no /duel.

This.

I'm not sure what everyone else was expecting as they all seem to be disappointed - but it's just an MMO. We all know what MMO's are and what they cost. This MMO is based on Elder Scrolls.
If anything, I find the necessity of multiplayer lacking and that would be my only complaint. Otherwise... ya. It's exactly as expected for me and once they fix some of the clunkyness it'll probably be pretty fun.

is it wrong that i like the environment more so than the combat and storyline

the game feels more like b2p because its very large (not NEARLY as large as skyrim) and the combat is ridiculously subpar.

combat in skyrim feels a lot more rewarding

the game currently does not feel like 60 with 15 dollar monthly.. at most its b2p, and even then i feel there's more in guildwars 2 than this game already.

let's just say if skyrim was multiplayer, i would prefer skyrim over this game
environments, combat, art and lighting

music is excellent A++ in eso though

if skyrim was 60 dollars, then this game is 10-15 at TOPS
it is at most a casual game

i'm not even drawn to this game as i was drawn to skyrim in the first few hours of playing.

Guys, lease keep in mind this is a BETA test and NOT a DEMO. There is a world of content left out. You're all making it seem like you got a sneak peak of the game right before it launches and you're reviewing it. It's not DEMO. We were choosen to test certain aspects of the game, and we were given just that, certain aspects of the game, to go and test. To sit here and think this is the final product is foolish. Especially the way Zenimax is approaching Beta testing with timed events. It's giving you a small portion to test. Test being key word. You guys are making me think you never BETA tested before...

I'll admit that for a testing a beta version of a release that will be coming in spring, there are quite a lot of bugs. Along with that, the storyline/quests seems very clunky, the first quest starting out just felt old and outdated honestly, and often had no idea what I was doing. Another thing that at the moment, I'm not liking is that it's almost pointless to "grind" mobs for xp as you get next to nothing. They kind of FORCE you to take the quest route. The mounts seemed a bit pointless as well. The combat feels a bit weak too, as the "normal" damage does next to nothing, and that's about the only thing you really "aim" for, as the skills can be auto targeted. Lastly, as stated above is them having no /duel. The best thing about this game however, is the graphics, looks amazing with everything up on ultra. Some other things I really like about the game, is the potential of the combat, I feel like if they can tweak a few things, and make it more skill oriented, this could make the combat much more fun. I feel like all of their problems CAN be fixed, and isn't asking for too major of changes, but who knows. Again though, overrall, I'm still having fun with the game, as it does feel new.

You guys are crazy! I'm pretty shocked to log on this morning and see such negative feedback. I really enjoyed the game.

I love the feel of the classes and combat. Third person felt a lot better than first person, but I usually play in third person anyway. I played a Dragon Knight, Templar, and Sorcerer and I'm really excited to play them further.

I do think it will feel better on a console than on a PC.

It was a little skyrimy, but it has to be. The classes and combat style are entirely different, though.

Like any MMO, end game content will make or break it. We shall see.

To the person who complained about ambiguous hitboxes: I think they have to give you a little leeway to account for latency.

Nope. With addon support, it will not feel better on the console. Not by a longshot.
