You clearly haven't had a good, hard play through of oblivion.

this.

in oblivion overall difficulty was harder, example in oblivion i hardly was able to rise the difficulty level over +10% and in skyrim with similar char even master difficulty was too easy

in oblivion mobs actually got harder, example marauders/bandits upgraded their gear when you leveled (from leather/iron to glass/daedric) and that way you actually were able to find some decent loots from them

there were more spells and spell making and better enchanting system in oblivion which made the game somewhat more interesting

skills were better balanced in oblivion

and much more...

this is obviously just my opinion and reasons why i like oblivion more than skyrim and to be honest, i dont know a single thing that's better in skyrim than in oblivion (at least in vanilla game)

dual wield was a cool idea but it was made quite poorly, you attacked just as fast with 1 weapon (not counting power attack) which then leaves you open with either shield or magic. only reason i'd use dual wield would be style

well graphics were obviously somewhat better, after all, there's 7 years between the two

i dont get it how battle system was better on skyrim. they are pretty much alike in skyrim and in oblivion.

For the battle system, there are plenty more power moves to do, they change with level and perks. Dual casting, spells look MUCH better. I guess the battle is Skyrim is much easier, considering the master difficulty is quite easy after level 50, but it just looks and feels better. I'm sure yall remember playing Oblivion simple mashing R1 and swinging the sword or whatever hearing the same exact "UGH" sound effect every time. The fighting is just much better to me for Skyrim. Completely opinionated......

As for duel wielding, level one handed and duel wield daggers. The power attack is balls. Along with good sneak and Assassin's Dagger perk? Yup

i never used power attacks on skyrim, i felt they were pretty pointless. pretty much never used on oblivion either tbh.
sound effects were pretty much just as poor/rich in both.
well dual casting does look better, but it's just visual and has no real effect on the gameplay or combat system
