Why? I plan on playing it massive server or not, seems like its going to be a great game.

Well they said the system will be smart about where it puts you and also will match you up with friends. The engine itself will support up to 200 players on screen on a pretty average computer also. The thing that they say won't make it crowded is the "phasing" that is going to be used. Kind of like wow, eventually everyone will go their own way with quest lines and only people who have done the same will be phased with you. They're A LOT of decisions to be made for the routes you take with questing that will phase your game play so many people will be phased in many different areas to reduce crowding.

I don't know how this mega server is going to turn out but if it's as smart as they believe it will be then I'm all for giving it a whirl.

Just a key note for those that can't as well as some of us.


The thread is not about the online aspect.

Its about the mega server.

Will be good if it has something new to mmorpg element. Like Rift had those Rift and dynamic events. Guild wars 2 had dynamic events too, but they weren't that big, more like mini quest.

guild wars 2 was the second biggest let down I've ever experienced in the video game industry.

The only thing i can say is:

Blizzard changed the world of MMO a few years ago with the game '' WoW ''
The new company's are mostly amateurs because all they do is create a '' fake WoW '' they just copy it.. i wonder why they waste their time
Why not try something new?

I hope TESO is going to change the world of MMO.. since WoW is outdated and boring.
