oh shit my bad, I'd like to take this time to personally apologize to everyone that ever played fallout and needed a little extra help from the experienced and resourcefull members of jsp that could provide a little extra insight on such topics. I am truly sorry that this came about as a result of thoughtlessness, I hope that in time the fine members of these forums can come to forgive me.

Don't really need help, discussion is fun though.
However you might be able to help me figure something out.
I'm playing new vegas for pc and upon looking up some console commands on the fallout wiki the ones that for some reason begin with a hot linked xx don't appear to work, you don't happen to know why this error is occuring do you?

Can you give an example? I don't see any console commands like that.

I find out that there are certain codes for the dlc in which you enter in place of the xxs.

now the problem I have is that I have all the dlc and what not, and cannot figure out which codes I am to be using.

According to that wiki you can just download Fallout Mod Manager. That program, if installed correctly, will give you the number for each expansion/mod. Then you just need to look at the wiki with the code for an item, for example. You would take the xx code that Fallout Mod Manager gives you and use it to replace the xx for the console command.

So if Fallout Mod Manager tells you your Old World Blues is 02.

I believe you just put in the entire console command (which I assume you already know how to do since you only have a problem with the xx ones) and 0200a135 (instead of xx00a135). That should give you a Sterilizer glove.

mod manager told the replacing codes, didn't work. However I was in the main map and not in dlc map area that those weapons belong too, do you figure that may be the reason why?

I did not try the codes in the dlc designated area.
